MUST HAVE BOOKS FOR FLOWER LOVERS

Posted by Paula Broomfield on

I love nothing more than picking up a good floristry book & riffling through to gather inspiration for my next design. Whether it be for colour, texture, tones or the arrangement itself, I have some go-to books that help do just that!

Today I'm going to show you my 3 favourite Australian florist/authors, whose books inspire me on a daily basis.

----------

The first book is FLOWERPAEDIA by Cheralyn Darcey. It is wonderful if you are looking at gifting flowers with intention. Each flower holds a significant meaning & Cheralyn has not left any out! This little gem comes with me to every consultation to inspire couples who wish to add emotion into their arrangements.

This book is fantastic as you can search by flower or by the meaning you wish to convey. You can purchase the book here.

----------

The second book is by Annabelle Hickson called A TREE IN THE HOUSE. Filled with awe-inspiring imagery, flower basics & how-to-guides, Annabelle, a self-taught florist, gives you the tools needed to create masterpieces at home.

This book is the perfect companion to our Bucket Blooms if you wish to DIY your next event. You can buy A Tree in the House here.

----------

The final book I chose is THE FLOWER EXPERT by Fleur McHarg. Fleur (what a great name!!), has over 25 years experience in the industry & this book is great from the beginner to the most advanced flower lover. Filled with colour explosions, textures & fun arrangements to make, she takes you on a floral journey, leaving your beaming with excitement!

This is a definite must-have book in your library! You can get The Flower Expert here.

We hope these books help influence your next event & encourage your to live a life with flowers. We're sure it will be a budding romance ;)

Much love,
Paula
